Within a week, we had diner at mullets three times. The cuisine is excellent and original. Traditional dishes as well as nice inventions (couscous Puglia style) are served in a very nice atmosphere. Special wishes for children are just „of course, no problem“. Diner is served in two time slots (18-20, 20-22), which is unusual in Switzerland. The upside of this approach are the modest prices (starters 15-20 SFR) main courses 23-39 SFR). The desserts are extraordinary, the home made cakes are sensational. Silvaplana improved over the last years and is now clearly a much nicer place than nearby St.Moritz. The Mulets is a pillar of this development.
Mulets is always on our list as a must-go place when we are in the Engadine. It is close to the camping site and centra da sport, which you can notice in the clientele, because you will find here a bit younger crowd and it seemed to me, also local crowd. Prices are affordable, decor is contemporary, service is friendly and attitudes are kind. There is a lot on the menu, but my favourite still is the Bündner Gerstensuppe, which is a traditional Swiss barley soup. They serve the best in the Engadine Valley. Have it on the terrace and enjoy the mountains and sun.
We had family staying on the adjacent campsite so we had a couple of very good dinners hers. Very family friendly with a good selection of salads, pizzas and meals for children. Everyone liked their pizzas, the hamburger was also a great treat. All in all a very good restaurant with view over the lake and mountains. PS it gets very busy so good to book in advance tray to get a table by the window if you can.
We visited here twice for lunch and would recommend it for anyone visiting Engadine. Its a great location by the lake so book to get an outside table. The menu has good range and across our eight dishes on two visits I'd say the all were well made with good local ingredients. The team are kind and helpful and, as much as anything in St Moritz could be, its reasonable. Réservez une table maintenant
We eat several times at the Mulets, since we have been spending ski holidays in Silvaplana for the last 6 years. The service is nice, the place is comfortable. You are welcome as family or as adultes. They have a great choice of meals, very fresh and it tastes great. However, you should better book in the high season and it is rather pricy.
