the best restaurant of noodle la mian de madrid. la mian is a Chinese technique with thousands of years old to stretch handmade carnuts. you can see how they cook every day at lunch time or at dinner shift. Then cook them to the wok and have a delicious and unique taste. chan, the owner, is an excellent chef! his chicken with ginger and asparagus trigueros will not find him elsewhere. I also recommend the catheter soup with veal and the crunchy duck. I have been going 14 years and I repeat frequently: it is one of the essentials of madrid!
El Rey de Tallarines is a Chinese restaurant located next to Plaza de España. The restaurant doesn´t attract your attention for the decoration, the style is old and a bit tacky with regular waiters and waitresses. But, the main point of this restaurant are their noodles, they are elaborated in the same restaurant, in some occasions you can see them doing it. The dumplings or gyoza are the best option as starter for sharing, but be careful because the noodle portions are quite big. Competitive price and it is advisable to book before going.
Staying for the weekend in Madrid (March 2022), we went for a wander off the main Gran Via looking for an evening meal and found this place. We both enjoy Thai style food and were very pleased at the quantity and quality of what we ordered. I had the Thai duck red curry with egg fried rice, while my partner had chicken curry with noodles. Both meals were well flavoured and very tasty and hefty portions. Glad we didn’t have starters. The only downside was that the my meal arrived some ten minutes before my partners.
Noodles here are handmade, literallt in front of you, and you can really feel it in the taste. The waiters are such a turn off though, I'd be there quite often if they were a bit more friendly.

I recommend you go. the noodles are delicious, handmade in the restaurant. I asked for ducks and enjoyed them as a champion. I found the dish quite good.
