I just want to sing praises for Reyla! Five of us went for dinner on a Wednesday evening to celebrate my birthday. It was all day happy hour, which was an awesome added bonus. We got cocktails and I’d say about 8 to 10 small plates to share. The food was wonderful. At the end of our meal, the manager gave me a card signed by everybody at the restaurant and a $25 gift certificate to come back. I have never been given money by a restaurant in my life! Let me start by saying the food and drinks were AMAZING! The ribs were fall off the bone and the pickled carrots with the hummus was out of this world. The reason for the low rating was the wait time. First of all the wait to get a table was long due to the hostess admitting that she forgot about us. Then when we did get seated the first two dishes came out without a hitch. But the real kicker was we then waited a whole 50 min for a piece of schnitzel! Then another 20 min for the check. A hidden gem in Asbury. Although it's not hidden! It's on a main street and we can't figure out why other, inferior, places in Asbury are so crowded. Almost don't want to write this review and let people know how good it is so I don't have to wait for a table. Had a delicious purple mimosa, a divine, light baklava cannoli and a great shakshouka (with eggs, not tofu. My friend had a really hearty chicken n' waffle dish. Love the Middle Eastern flair and the service was attentive. Even got to meet the chef, who was really kind. Fun, chill playlist, too. Love this place! Wonderful new find in Asbury Park, with a small but appealing menu and an impressive cocktail selection. Prices make it more of a special occasion place rather than an everyday option (though I 'm eager to check out their Wednesday happy hour). I look forward to returning and sampling more from the menu. Service was cheerful, knowledgeable and efficient. Ambience was cool, but we chose to sit outside 'cause it was a beautiful, breezy night. We were in town for a music festival and after a few short rushed meals it was a thrill to sit in this beautiful restaurant and have such an amazing dinner. The service was top notch. My friends and I said it was one of our top meals ever. We loved all of the many different flavors. Thank you! Amazing date night special for $90 for two people on a Thursday night. Don't miss this deal! The special included 5 courses plus a bottle of wine. We got the Turkish hummus (served hot with cinnamon and tomatoes), grilled artichoke (just ok), Chicken sharwama sandwich (massive portion, delicious), the steak, and chocolate truffles. Service was fantastic!
Food is soooo good and beautifully presented (edible flowers! . Cocktails are perhaps the best I've ever had. Server and other staff are friendly and kind. Vibe and ambiance can't be beat either. Loved the whole experience. REYLA is on our family's favorite list! Thank you!
