we visited this restaurant as the reviews were great on travel advisors. when we came there, we were greeted by a very friendly host and the garden was very nice and cozy. when we received the menus, we were surprised that the prices were high (42 francs for a steak entrecote, as the reviews said it was cheap and modest. Nevertheless, we decided to think that eating is very good. to our disappointment, eating was best ok. that was the most expensive average meal I've ever had, and it's a pity that the reviews are misleading.
When did they last eat black roots? stefan burger cooks with talent and love, using fresh, seasonal products; his wife evelyne serves the fine menus with charm and humor. small but fine wine map with carefully selected weeping mainly from the region.
a secret tip in schaffhausen. you always think the offer of special restaurants in schaffhausen is somewhat limited. still there are always new surprises. like the rheingold. fine kitchen and nice restaurant in very cozy ambiente. we're coming back!
Essen war wirklich sehr gut. Bedienung sehr freundlich aber leider werden die Wartezeiten schon seeeeehr lange wenn das Restaurant voll ist. Daher nicht die volle Punktzahl.
