I was disappointed during my last visit to Rio Mambo, not by the food, but by the lack of sanitation for a pandemic. Diner 's came in with no mask on, and the manager welcomed them and didn 't say a word. It ' 's city mandated to wear one! Also, there was a table with over 20 diners my understanding is not more that 8 at a table. I understand the health department can shut you down. Why are you playing games? None of the servers wear gloves. There is a hand held device for check out to take your credit card, and 4 people before us each signed with their finger, before the waitress brought the device to me. I asked her if it was cleaned, and she said it is done, only periodically . Ick! Obvio...
This airport blows! Every time... Super dirty, completely unorganized, mics in gates aren’t even loud enough for everyone to hear in the gate area- or they are muffled very badly, large groups of people were running because the airport decided to close down a landing lane at the last minute- causing flight delay’s, and then not even offering to keep those boarding gates open longer or helping with new flights. I’m talking about tons of customers. One customer was upset because she was missing a funeral and the airline (AA) boarding employee just responded with, “It happens. I like your jacket.” What an embarrassment!
Had not dined here in over ten years, and our recent visit reminded us why. Pricey and average Tex-Mex. My wife and daughter ordered the Bo Leo's plate and I the enchiladas, two picadillo beef and one cheese with onions. All orders included rice and refried beans. We all agreed that the beef was well seasoned but dry. Same with the chicken in the enchilada. There were no onions in my cheese enchilada and the chili con carne had no carne. The chili sauce was only okay. Service was good. I probably won't return.
Rio Mambo is my favorite place to eat. So, my husband surprised me with an opportunity to pick up carry-out when we were driving through the area. (Southwest Ft. Worth) The service is great (Katie, Luo, Luis). They are always willing to make the dining or carry-out experience a good one. Their salsa is the BEST and their gluten-free grilled chicken tacos draw me back time and time again. As long as they serve gluten-free options, we will treat ourselves to date nights at Rio Mambo.
