Came in to get some food and a drink with a group of pals, we were quietly waiting for someone to ask if they had space for six people for a table. Immediately get told by server that we needed to be “mindful and keep the noise down because there’s other people in here” in a really patronising way-literally hadn’t even sat down yet and we’d barely said three words. We were then all ID’d even though we’re all over 25 (ages from 26-36, actually) and all of us are visibly covered in tattoos. It was pretty obvious that they just didn’t like the way we looked, and had nothing to do with them thinking we would actually be disruptive- it was about 7:30pm on a Monday and there was about three other...
Found this place somewhat by chance and was glad that their kitchen was open until 10pm. Ordered several tapas, from both the classic and modern selections, and most were very tasty. There's a lot of chorizo on the menu but in enough different ways that it's worth trying a few options. The tacos were the only disappointment, very oily and less flavour than expected. Otherwise, a very pleasant meal with a couple of bottles of smooth red. We were seated upstairs and it was a bit loud, but we were directly above the bar and it was a Saturday night so not unexpected. Downstairs there was more seating and it looked much more cosy and comfortable down there.
I had known the building before and thought our table would be upstairs but we were seated in the basement which obviously had no windows. The red lighting almost instantly gave me a headache. The food was really good although I hadn't expected the chicken doughnuts to be the size of an actual sweet donut but that was my fault for not asking as a serving was 2 of those.
Stopped by for a lunch with a friend. Service was pleasant and the cocktails were great. Food was not ideal however; the calamari rings were underseasoned and the pan con tomate didn't seem fresh nor was it deseeded, so the bread just disintegrated from all the water. Will maybe stop by for the beverages again, though food will probably be a miss.

Having visited before and raving about it to guests. I was shocked at how bad it was this time, not sure if they were just too full or it was a new chef. Hard pass on food and atmosphere which was none existent. Way to expensive for the quality of the food served
Superb ! We arrived early and were accommodated by friendly waiter Great atmosphere on the busy upstairs restaurant Drinks brought quickly then the food excellent ! Portions slightly large for us but food was very very good First time here will definitely return
Had a great evening at Rioja. The food was very good, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Lovely atmosphere and a really nice place to spend an evening. Would definitely visit again.
Liked the tapas thing Staff were great Major fire in central station , police came in and restaurant was made to close for safety reasons So it was a very quick exit

My friends and I came here for a birthday dinner and the food and atmosphere was amazing! We love it here and recommend it to everyone we meet in Glasgow.
A little gem of a place. Absolutrly brilliant and tastey food. Terrific menu choice, good size portiond and great value. A ray of sunshine.
