Ristorante Da Luciano

I know that for every waiter in the world it's a challenge to host a big group, however we waited 2 1/2 hours for our food, staff was grumpy for the entire time and portions weren't reasonably big for the price they ask. After receiving bad service and unfriendly staff I asked for talking to the manager and I got the answer "he is busy right now, he hasn't got any time for his guests". Which host hasn't got time for his guests? I'm working in the horeca myself and I'm very patient and understanding with anything in the hospitality industry but what I experienced today is everything but host friendly. I find it somehow difficult to write a review for the Da Luciano. There was nothing wrong with the food but there was also nothing that made it special or different from pretty much any other decent mid-range pizzeria in Germany.On the positive side, they offer olives and "pizzabrot" as free appetizers. We also got a free shot after our diner. Nice.The pizza were OK - again nothing wrong with them but I just felt I ate the same thing in 50 other places before.Service was a bit of a mixed bag. I think every waiter in the restaurant came to our table at some point. Some were nice and friendly, others not so much.

You can not make a mistake : you just want a cheap pizza and eat quickly : this is the right place; and if you ask them to be creative you'll have very good surprises (but the price will increase of course ...). Very good atmosphere, pleasant guys ... i've been there several times and I'll come back !

I had dinner several times in this place. Whenever I travel this region, i try to visit this restaurant. Meals are tastefully. Atmosphere is wonderful. Owner, Luciano, unbeliveable friendly one. If you are in Köln the first choice to have lunch&dinner. Mehmet/Antalya
