I first discovered Monna Lisa through a work colleague. I was surprised at how spacious and bright it was. Lugano being a small town most of the restaurants here are tiny and dark, not here. It's also decorated very elegantly I must say.The food is amazing, it's seasonal and fresh. They change the menu regularly enough that you don't get bored of eating the same things, which is a pet peeve of mine. I am a regular customer of monnalisa in bergamo and I could not exempt myself from testing also the recently opened room for lugano from the same family. So I arranged a nice trip outside the door to have lunch here. I found the same pleasantness and refinement in the dishes, a welcoming and refined environment and always appreciated attention to detail. apparently entering a somewhat anonymous restaurant in its new classic look. In the service that you would expect a little black/glass and silver (in line with the sophisticated/scarno look of the room) you find instead disopnibility, warmth and professionalism. The well-kept and pleasant cuisine, light but tasty dishes, the carefully chosen combinations, the wines not discounted. I'll be back.
