Ristorante Pizzeria Balmelli

Balmelli is a beautiful, local restaraunt that is 20 minutes from town on the way to Montagnola. It's easy to find and you can easily walk from Town if your adventurous or take a taxi or bus. The outdoor garden is quaint and lovely and...the owner is always very kind to bring complementary bruschetta to start and a lovely Limoncello when you finish. We went twice to this restaraunt as it was weakling distance to our hotel and the Schnitzel was incredible. Best we have had in a long time. The Sea Bass is also exceptional with wonderful local capers. Definitely worth going for the ambiance and food.

Last review we wrote was 2016, the administration changed it time to write a new review. Just really WOW! Food was excellent, service attentive and accurate. Wines are also very good and in our opinion a good offer given the extremely good quality of food. Get up!

A lovely lunch under the trees. Excellent seafood dishes including pasta frutti di mare, mixed seafood grill, excellent calamari ripieni an octopus salad. Highly recommended. Great service in a lovely ambience.

in grotto-type atmosphere; the menu is relatively limited, but the food is of excellent quality and beautifully presented. Very professional and helpful staff. Prices are quite modest.
