There's a Rita's that's opened up in West Ridge about two miles away from me, but I haven't been there yet even though I've been curious. After dinner in Edison Park we stopped at the Park Ridge location here to give it a try. This isn't a large shop so you won't be eating in. They also don't have a large menu of flavors (at least for the custard) like some other shops do but that's okay. Hello everyone! I recently had the opportunity to try the strawberry ice cream at Rita's, and I have to say, it was incredible! The flavor was incredibly rich and creamy, and you could truly taste the freshness of the strawberries. The staff was incredibly friendly and helped me choose the perfect flavor. If you love strawberry ice cream, you absolutely must give Rita's a try. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!
It's a charming little spot to grab a sweet treat. The service was fast and friendly, and there is a good selection of Italian ice and frozen custard flavors. While there are a few seats available, the space is quite narrow, making it challenging for larger groups to sit together. However, it’s ideal for a couple of friends who want to enjoy a treat together.
I was visiting from Connecticut, where I frequent Rita's in New London, CT. I found this one and it was great. The young folks working there were awesome, and nice, and accommodating. The Italian Ice's were great and I was thrilled to find Root Beer, since they don't have it at the New London location.

I ate twice the mixed frozen custard, 1st time got sick, thinking I overate, the second time I felt so sick that I had to throw it up. Felt better immediately. Sorry to say, but something is wrong with that custard.
Amazing Italian ice and customer service. They also have a food truck for parties and events and outstanding customer service.
The milkshake and iced coffee were a bit too sweet for my taste, but the vanilla custard was absolutely delicious.
