Rita's Italian Ice

Your average Rita's, only complaint is they ran out of cherry water ice, never new Rita's can run out of a flavor of water ice, their name has Italian water ice in it, you think of all places they would know how to never run out of a very popular flavor or any flavor at all since they have been doing this for a very long time now...I don't know does Mcdonalds ever run out of hamburgers? Probably not a good example it is McDonald's, they don't hire from the top of the unemployment line, not even from the middle...Oh keep an eye out for good coupons in the mail for Rita's, their prices are a bit ridiculous just like most places these days but coupons come often and there are usually a few good...

The restaurant at Huntingdon Pike and Church Road tends to be quite busy, but I happened to pass by and noticed there wasn't a line, so I decided to stop in. The chocolate custard I tried was delicious, although I found it to be a bit pricey. I don't visit Rita's as often as I used to because of their high prices, which is unfortunate since my wife and I really enjoy water ice. While waiting in line, an impatient middle aged woman who ordered about a hundred things was being rude to the young girl taking her order and getting upset cause she didn?t understand her own rewards. Then instead of dealing with the irritate customer being rude to his employee, the manager/owner chastised the poor girl. Seemed like a total abuse of male privilege over the young teenage girls working for him.

I'm not sure if it's because it's the end of the season, but the water ice has been consistently gritty with ice chunks. Everything else, however, is wonderful!

This is in walking distance from my house.... the teens they hire have always been friendly. This establishment is even dog friendly.
