As the Oldest bar, I think they are running out of steam. The waitress must have been there from the start, and is just spent..not wanting to deal with anything anymore. She was the most miserable, overly hates her job, really barely wanted to take our order, person I've ever met. We tried asking her questions about the specials, and at one point she just walked away without answering. We were excited entering, because the lounge area was super pretty. The tables have comfy-couch type-high chairs; it was nice to settle in after a long day of traveling. The Guinness was good, the bathroom was nice..but it all went downhill from there. The crispy beef came with dried out rice-the steak and pie...

Heard great reviews. Having worked in hospitality for 30 years in London and NYC (waitress to manager) very disappointed. Staff seemed unhappy and literally threw plates and cutlery on table. Most items unavailable on menu. After 30 minutes wrong food arrived angry server said food would arrive in another 10 15. Spoke to manager who explained they've been busy and couldn't understand our disappointment. I understand it's a busy time BUT let servers know what's 86'd. chefs and managers need to value and respect servers since they're dealing directly with customers. Maybe it was just a bad night but I wouldn't risk another visit.

Oldest continuously operating pub in Derry. 1683. We stopped in for lunch after our tour on the way to the bus. Service was ok and the food was ok. We ordered mostly pub food for a quick lunch. A couple of us got the bangers and mash which were very good. The other dishes were pedestrian. Ambiance is old timey pub with a big screen tv in the back. Nothing special we would not return. Great lunch, fair prices and a cool atmosphere. The only gripe of the experience was the service. Waitresses sat back on as they pounded away on mobile phones. HUGE TURNOFF!
