Our team, Hungry Heroes was in NY to serve food to 500 first responders during the 9-11 memorial week. Frank from River Mill Tavern and Tables kept our team of 10 fed breakfast and dinner the entire time. The food was nothing short of amazing. The hospitality Frank showed us as strangers in the Lynbrook community was truly off the hook. Frank did evening more by donating needed supplies and equipment as well. He is truly a humble and giving soul. Frank's kindness made serving in an area totally unfamiliar to us so much less stressful. He was there to help in any way with absolutely anything we needed. Fair local restaurant, but way too pricey for the food they serve. $22 for a cheeseburger?! And then they charge $7 extra for a salad! Come on. Food was good to okay, and menu options were all over the place American to Italian to Asian to Mexican). Staff was pleasant, and the ambience nice. But three people who only had two apps, two entrees my wife had a chicken salad), and a few drinks it cost near $200 20% tip). I've spent near that at a Michelin-starred restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious! The appetizers were definitely my favorite part of the meal. One person's main dish took a bit longer to arrive than everyone else's, but overall, it was a pleasant dining experience. I have to highlight Jameson, the busboy, who was exceptionally attentive in clearing our appetizer plates and making sure our water pitcher was always full during dinner. He really worked hard throughout our visit. Our waitress was also very kind.

I don’t often leave reviews however I just had the best street corn, ceasar salad with shrimp and tortillas. This has to be one of the best salads ever. My compliments to the Chef and Owner Frank!!!
The appetizer wings were good. My husband loved the shrimp and grits. Halibut was a bit over cooked but the corn sauce with arugula, pistachio, and butternut squash was delicious.
