Riverside Cafe Tea Room And Gardens

This place really needs more publicity I mean they have 15 awards for their cocktails and food which are all extremely deserved. The staff were very friendly and were what I would expect from a restraunt with the prestige of a high end restraunt. As for the food, everything was freshly made and locally sourced and I especially liked their sausages, which are from the butchers just a couple of minutes away. The general scenery of the location was stunning with a clear view of the south downs and the River adur. This place has excelled in most areas that any other cafe has and is a complete hidden gem.

A good visit, but not as good as previous years. The prices have gone up and so I don't think we will go back. And the trees were removed so now you feel very close to the road. Overall the waiter was very friendly and helpful and the food was nice, but due to the prices we won't return. They're not flexible with the menu which isn't necessarily a criticism but worth noting. The location by the river is great for the view, but the noise of the road is a lot more apparent due to the loss of the hedges.

Visited Riverside Southdowns today to celebrate my 50th my friends 60th Birthday for a boat ride afternoon tea. Started off on the boat ride which was so lovely calm the views amazing, we passed a couple of Swans along the way. Then headed back in for our afternoon tea by the river. I would just like to thank all the staff looking after us for making our special day that extra bit special for us. We had such a lovely day felt welcomed the whole time. Can’t wait to Visit again soon. Jay, Kim Sue x

The cooked breakfast at this restaurant was of good quality, although a bit on the expensive side. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the facilities were immaculately clean. The location overlooking the river was lovely and very relaxing.

This cafe is set at a lovely location by the water Enjoyed the cakes. The scantily clad lady in the kitchen was a bit of a surprise !
