Sunday 25th July We enjoyed a very pleasant meal here today. My granddaughter has a dairy and soya allergy which I notified the restaurant of when I booked the table. On arrival at the restaurant the waiting staff were aware of this and were able to advise what food she could eat. Very impressed. All workers we encountered were very professional and we had a lovely evening. The only problem was that for suite the only thing my granddaughter could have was sorbet. Sadly there was some confusion as we were told that there was none left by some staff and that there was by others. This is such a lovely venue but the service lets it down. I have been on 3 different occasions now and nothing has improved. There doesn't appear to be anyone managing the restaurant. There is no warm welcome upon arrival. You feel that nobody is allocated to your table for service. Everything is ad hoq. On the last visit this month, the starters arrived before our drinks. We weren't given all available menus. We were surrounded by tables littered with dirty dishes. We had no condiments on our table. Decided to try this place for lunch as had never been. We arrived around 10 past 12 and sat at a table in view of the bar where 2 members of staff were. The place was empty. Nobody acknowledged us and we sat for another 10 minutes before my daughter went over and asked if they served food. The waitress said ehhh, is it after 12? My daughter said yes it’s nearly half past. She replied, well yes then and carried on putting cups on top of the coffee machine. We sat for several more minutes before we put our coats on and left. Layout and decor lovely. Service slow and sporadic. We sat in a booth and no one was circulating so didn’t clear the table and we had to ask for our second course. In terms of Covid hygiene they need to up their game. There was one table we saw with three different parties using it and no one moved glasses or cleaned the tables in between customers. We did enjoy the food although had to ask for side plates for our shared tapas. We would come back but would ensure we cleaned our table before we sat down and be prepared to have a long leisurely meal. Drinks were fab- best French Martini in ages. I had a voucher from my son and daughter-in-law. I went to the restaurant today and was shown to my table. There were a lot of other diners at the time, but it wasn't too busy. The drinks order was taken quickly. I ordered a starter and main. The starter was great, it was nice to have something hot. The main was good, although I felt that the 6 oz Korean burger could use less caramelized onions as it overpowered the taste of the burger. My only complaint is that the empty drinks and glasses were not removed from the table, especially when the mains and dessert were brought out. This detracted from an otherwise enjoyable experience. The restaurant recently introduced a takeaway service, which was a great idea. We had to book in advance as it was very popular, and we were given a specific time to collect our order. The process was well-organized and the staff were lovely. My only complaint is that the chicken tempura batter was soggy, likely due to being kept in a polystyrene container. It would have been better to use aluminum trays like Chinese takeaways do. Additionally, there was no salad or sweet chili sauce included, making it not worth the money. However, the rest of the meals were great. It was nice to try something different during these challenging times.
I came to this restaurant with friends for dinner. We sat at the bar until our table was ready. There had been a wedding party and there were used glasses everywhere. The menu had a lot of choices, but not many options for vegetarians. The staff could have been more pleasant. We had to ask three times for water for the table. When our meals came, they were nice and portions were reasonable. The dessert options were good as long as you like strawberries. The decor was lovely. Would I come back? No, there are plenty more restaurants in Irvine.
I was treated to lunch here today by my friend to celebrate my birthday, food was well cooked and presented well,staff friendly and helpful especially Margaret whose attention to detail made sure we had the correct cutlery for our desert (long spoon for eton mess) will certainly be back

Fantastic overnight stay. Food was delicious there was a big choice on the menu. The staff were friendly ,professional and helpful. Great value for money. Modern fresh clean setting. Bedrooms a good size too. Will definitely to back.
