Visited to catch up with some friends. Open and pleasant room with booth seating around the edges. Was very quiet on a Thursday night with only 1 or 2 other groups in attendance. The menu is New York deli food and is small but has enough diversity to please most people. Be aware that there is a difference between the lunch and dinner menus so a dish you spotted at lunch may not be available at dinner. Both menus are accessible on the website. Several of us had the Rockefeller Burger in NY Size which consisted of 4 patties to make the burger. It was very tasty with the patties being juicy and well prepared. The cheese had melted pleasantly and the buns were solid but tasty. A nice burger but...
Located in a great 120!year old building with what appears to be original ceilings and huge booths. It is very spacious and not at all like the squishy New York delis it is trying to emulate. Not complaining about that. I was welcomed and offered coffee immediately. Totally my fault about being confused. Not being an expert on the whole bagel breakfast thing. Our mistake was in assuming the commas between ingredients meant you got everything list. We were expecting Pancetta with cream cheese and jalapeño and whatever else was listed. It should have be OR between each ingredient listed. Anyway after that was explained to us we ate our meals. It tasted fine but didn't live up to our misread ex...
Finally Perth has a true New York style deli restaurant with the favourites like Reuben sandwich, Pastrami on rye, latkes and chicken livers to name just a few. This menu is refreshingly different to what's available in Perth The owner enjoys good food and has an eye for detail. We went on a Sunday morning and the service was quick,the food very tasty I had an Israeli platter- shared and it was just a perfect start to the day Not too heavy but layers of flavours.The Reuben was also a hit The serves are generous and if you can fit in sweets... they are also a real treat with Mum's famous cheesecake.Not to be missed The restaurant does get a little noisy but then that's people enjoying the vib...
The food at this restaurant was of good quality and very tasty. I enjoyed the Ruben and pastrami sandwiches, which were served with delicious homemade crisps and pickles that gave them an authentic NYC deli flavor. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the prices were a bit high, even considering Perth tax and the fact that it's a new establishment. Additionally, the servers seemed a bit disorganized as we were mistakenly given someone else's coffee order shortly after being seated. Despite these minor issues, the food was excellent and the restaurant had a nice ambiance. I am confident that when I return in a few weeks, the staff will have everything sorted out. The owner manages the front of the house at this restaurant. I am puzzled as to why it only has a rating of 3.8 stars. Perhaps some customers did not have a good experience and did not express their concerns. Make sure to visit with an appetite because you will definitely leave satisfied every time. It reminds me of a Brooklyn deli, with delicious options like chopped liver, bagel crisps, beef sandwiches, and smoked turkey on bagels. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem.
Just had a fantastic breakfast at Rockefeller Deli! Great coffee (the bottomless filter coffee is perfect for people who love black coffee! , tasty as food (loved the pastrami on rye with proper, delicious rye bread and home made pastrami, homemade pickles and homemade potato chips! 5 out of 5 stars because not only was the food fantastic, but the place was very clean and the service outstanding and very attentive! Highly recommend you give these guys a try!
This restaurant offers a unique dining experience in Perth, which is a pleasant departure from the usual fare. The flavors of all the dishes were delightful, although the portion sizes were inconsistent. One dish was overly generous while another left us wanting more. The selection of cakes was particularly delicious.
It was so refreshing to have a different style of breakfast, full of flavor and reasonable portion. Coffee was okay, the fresh juices are better than most other places. I also enjoyed the friendly banter with the staff, I will be back to try the cocktails. Réservez une table maintenant
