Rocko’s was chosen for a breakfast stop on the way to Harrison Hot Springs recently, we arrived about 9:30 am. It was a first time visit for us, and from pictures seen, and reviews read before our trip, we were quite anxious to check it out. <br/ <br/ Suspect I could likely be one of only a few ‘Lower Mainlanders’ never having stopped there before, either for a beverage or meal, when in or passing through Mission, the restaurant has been there for a such good number of years. The retro look and ambiance sure brought back many fond memories from my “early days” growing up in Vancouver, especially as a teen, when living near the many drive ins and small diners along Kingsway at that time. ...
We often drive by and say That place we have to try. Well we did yesterday and boy are we happy we did. So much history there and a visit from yesteryear. We ordered breakfast. It was so good. Hubby had Alaskan breakfast and I had the Blackrock Bennies. Waitress came back to us and said the cook had made some extra blueberry pancakes would we like them. Yes was definitely the right answer,so good three big beautiful pancakes full of blueberries. Definitely will be back. Good home cooking and great atmosphere.
Went on BC day, it was quite busy but we still got a table quite quickly. It was super busy so the food took a little longer to come out but it was great food... such a big portion for the price. We took some of the food home it was just as good reheated. The milkshakes are some of the best I've had. The service was good, the staff had their hands full but still checked in for refills etc. Will definitely be back... it would be great if they had some music in the diner though.
I stopped by to check out the restaurant and take some pictures! I initially wanted to try the deep fried French toast, but I didn't have enough time and the restaurant was very busy. Instead, I ended up getting a peanut butter milkshake and a t-shirt. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. The milkshake was definitely one of the best I've ever had! I will definitely be returning at some point to actually try the food!
This is the first time I had been to this place and been hearing a lot of good things about it that when my friend suggested it last night it was heck yes. The service was fantastic, the food was to die for, full of flavour and delicious. The Milkshake was the best Milkshake that I have ever had. Our waitress Kim was awesome and yes I will be returning and yes I highly recommend this place. #OldSchool #Bestplacetomeetup #Awesome
Recently visited this restaurant for some milkshakes! The service was friendly and my daughter was thrilled to be at the same location where Riverdale was filmed. Keep in mind that this is more of an old-school diner experience rather than a five-star restaurant, and you'll have a great time.
