Food is excellent, really good menu for adults and kids, fresh and beautifully cooked. Not cheap, but you will not be disappointed. Equally good was the service, extremely polite and went out of their way to accommodate us as the online booking hadn't registered us on the system but they sorted it without fuss. But....it felt like a Novotel breakfast area at 6am. Overly bright, HIDEOUS lighting from coming mounted downlights. I'm struggling to remember a restaurant I've been anywhere in the world that has got the ambience so wrong. I can see why it's closed Nov to March, because nobody would want to sit in that environment in the evening. Fix that and it's definitely 5 stars. Can't wait to g...
The best sea food meal we have had. Family celebrating an 80th birthday. We had the sea food platter plus some sides to make up between three. Crab salad, Half Lobster and Chicken Burger and crevettes. All was so fresh and tasty. The Garlic bread was to die for. Not much conversation during the meal as we were all tucking in to the food. The service was very friendly and helpful with enough staff to service what is a very busy restaurant. Although pricy you are paying for the freshness of the sea food and it was worth every penny. We are planning to return in the summer and sit out side to appreciate the views.
We arrived just before they opened at mid-day but even then there was a long queue. Service was painfully slow which appeared to be due to the kitchen rather than waiting staff as plenty of people taking orders. Haddock and chips were adequate but nothing special. This restaurant was recommended to us friends so maybe they were having an off day. Unfortunately won't be rushing back.
The restaurant had a charming atmosphere and stylish decor. The staff were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to accommodate any requests. The food was delicious, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Additionally, the prices were very reasonable considering the high quality and generous portion sizes. Overall, we had a fantastic evening and will definitely be going back.
Beautiful location, qwerty decor and really friendly staff. It was a Friday early evening and we had booked. quite a few things on menu not available. Food was very nicely presented, but hate to say it, extremely overpriced for what was served. And with a 10% ‘optional’ service charge already added at the till! We left a little disappointed.
If you enjoy fresh seafood, Rocky Bottoms is one of the best options available. It may be a bit expensive, but it is still worth it. The service is good, with friendly and helpful staff. The outdoor space could be wonderful on a nice day, but it can be more difficult to enjoy during this time of year. I will definitely be coming back.
Recommended Lunch venue it didn’t disappoint. Delicious fresh, locally sourced produce served by nice staff. Rustic surroundings. I had Lobster it was mouth watering almost beating it was the sumptuous Creme Brûlée, in house made, which was as good as any I’d consumed in France! It’s a little more expensive but we’ll worth the visit.
We’ve been coming here for over five years now, it’s expanded in size owing to the success of the restaurant. The seafood is amazing, the staff are brilliant and it has the best sounds around. Lobster and fries with Steve Forbert, Neil Young and Steely Dan in the background. Perfect!
