Have been a few times, the deco is nostalgic, lots of images of the Roland statue in all the various town where ther is one (he is symbol of freetown, I believe) The menu is very german, the classics are all there (Schnitzel, goose, trout, etc.) There is something for all tastes but not much apart from a plate of vegetables for vegeterians, but even my friends mother was pleased (and she's a toughie). Service was very quick, when a large group are there it is loud, but that is to be expected. Very good dark beer (Czech), and also a cocktail menu + ice cream. Pricewise - very reasonable for the good quality.
Ordentliche große saubere Zimmer. Der Fernseher entspricht nicht den Stand der Technik. War mir aber egal. Die zentrale Lage und die großzügige Parkplatzsituation ist ein großer Pluspunkt. Das Frühstücksbüffet bot alles was mir wichtig war. Somit ein ordentliches Preis.- Leistungsverhältnis. Eine gute Adresse für einige Tage Aufenthalt.
We lived in Nordhausen, Germany for over a year and have visited dear friends there several times since. When we return, we always make time for dinner at this restaurant. Their Schnitzel, fried herb potatoes, and cauliflower in hollandaise are outstanding. It makes me want to plan another trip just thinking about it!
