We have been to Romano's twice. It is in a lovely, tranquil location. Unfortunately, there are not a lot of vegetarian options and there is inconsistency with the food and service. I would have to say the food is overpriced based on my experience.The first time we visited was for dinner. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We ordered bruschetta, a tuscan salad and nasi goreng to share. The bruschetta was great. The tuscan salad was a weird combination of flavours and there were too many croutons and they were extremely greasy. The nasi goreng was really, really good. We were overcharged for the salad. Been here for lunch as the restaurant next door was closed and was the only place opened on the day by the water.Location: It is right on the lake so it has a good fee.Food: Had pasta and it was decent.Drinks: Wine by the glass was very good (had the sauvignon blanc).Ambiance: Suitable for a business lunch, dinner. It is not a fine dining place but it is a convenient well located place to have a regular eat out.Value for money: Good. Paid about 70 dollars for two mains, three glasses of wine and a tea.Service: Very Good.Would return: Yes
This restaurant is a step above the rest. It offers more than just a cafe experience, with prices that are lower than fine dining. It is exactly what our area was lacking. They serve unique coffee from Italy and have a carefully curated menu. The staff is friendly and the ambience by the water adds to the overall experience. This is the best cafe in the area between Mornington and Mordialloc.
Weekday group lunch. Spectacular views although if facing the window you will need your sunglasses. Service was a bit average, long wait for drinks, lack of entree plates, inappropriate cutlery to suit meals. Entrees were a bit samey and many of the steaks served were underdone. Only chips and a small slaw were served with the steak. Desserts however, did look very nice.

Such an awesome little cafe! The food was excellent and the atmosphere is always relaxing. The last time we were there we even saw a seal playing in the harbour! They also have an array of entertainment on throughout the week and weekend.
Met a friend for a morning coffee only this visit. The coffee was great. Unfortunately we weren't offered water like other customers. There were sparrows flying in and pecking at the muffins on the counter, not good. Great location.
Good location , great to finally see a cafe utilising the waterfront of Patterson lakes at last. Pork buns were yummy a little overpriced but just after my recent trip to Bali I guess everything food wise feels like that .
Great little place. The staff are friendly, drinks are at reasonable prices and the view is beautiful. The live music on a Sunday afternoon was very good, with a lovely singer and the volume was just right.
