Terrible evening. Average to poor food. My wife’s main was tasteless and salty. We paid $18 dollars for two bread rolls!!!! The service was incredibly poor. I was given a butter knife to eat my steak and they did not ask me how I would like my steak cooked. They also did not see fit to clear our entree plates away for 20 minutes and all the tables around us were also dirty. When I complained they told me it is not the restaurant it was 3 months ago. 2 chef hats!!?? Are you having a laugh. It’s nowhere near that. I will be writing to the Australian good food guide to make them aware how this restaurant is resting on their laurels!
From the moment we stepped into Room 81, we felt absolutely pampered. There were four of us enjoying the nine-course tasting menu, and we loved every moment of it. Each dish was beautifully presented and tasted as amazing as it looked! The standout dishes were the steak with horseradish cream and the lemon-lime bitters dessert. The staff were incredibly lovely, explaining each delightful dish in detail. The evening was made even more special with personalized birthday wishes for two of our party members celebrating their birthdays.
Went with my daughter to use vouchers from hotel Sofitel. Even though the voucher was for beer wine and soft drinks to the value of $20 and we don’t drink wine beer, Anthony was very hospitable and made us a beautiful mocktail and cocktail to the value. It looked like a busy night and could of quite easily said No BUT his kindness and hospitality made it a memorable night for my daughter and I. Once again thank you Anthony.
The ambiance is nice. The staff are very friendly but perhaps more knowledge of the menu would be good! The menu isn't extensive but adequate. My duck was rare and I had to have it cooked a bit more so I could cut it. The entrees soup and scallops were tasty. The lamb was good. There was a big mix up with the wine we ordered, so be sure to double check your order. A very pleasant evening but definitely not 4 5 star.

I had a wonderful experience at Room81 yesterday. We visited to celebrate our wedding day, and the staff went above and beyond to make it truly special. They surprised us with a complimentary wine and dessert plate to help us celebrate. The food was exceptional, and both the cuisine and service were highly recommended.
It 8s fantastic, but there is always something not quite right last time the muscles, this time the lobster tail were a bit fishy. Where do they get their seafood from? Disappointing and spoiling all the good work for the rest. Best cream brulee I had in a long time.
Adequate Which is very disappointing for the price Food was average Wait staff service was average Great location... next to plenty of other options The only redeeming factor was the awesome bar staff (Can't recall his name but the fellow with the bright white hair)
We came to this place as part of our tour with Goldcoast food and wine tour.Great place cocktails delicious and great place to relax inside or out highly recommend. Will definitely be coming back. Thanks to Alex who is the best cocktails maker ever. Yummo

Overpriced if paying the full price. The food was good without being great. The ambience is cheap looking like a cafeteria not fine dining by any means, which doe snot fit a 5 star establishment.
