For those who do not know about the St Hubert's franchise, it's a classically French Canadian iconic family oriented heritage restaurant many (French Canadians) have grown up with. So there is a tremendous amount of love and nostalgia for the food that conjures up warm, fuzzy memories. And even after all these years this place still feels and tastes like the St Hubert I have always known and loved. So I am a little biased.However, in an effort to be as objective to my non-Canadian restauranteurs, be advised: this is not a high end restaurant. It is a family-oriented, chicken-rotisserie-based, warm-and-fuzzy-meal-after-a-cold-night-playing-hockey-with-the-kids kinda place. The food is hearty...
Stopped in at St Hubert on our way home from an afternoon at the spa. The placed was jam packed, however we were seated promptly, and our order taken without delay. Our orders arrived in under 10 minutes, and the chicken & ribs were amazing. Can't say enough about our waitress ! In spite of being extremely busy, she was terrific (wish I could remember her name ), and she came by twice while we were earing to make sure that everything was to our liking. A good experience and a nice way to end a perfect day !
A nice affordable restaurant that has many, many chicken and rib dishes to suit everyone. Great desserts. A plus for tourists if don't want to go to the restaurant , they can get delivery. I know when I have traveled for hours, I am too tired to make the effort to go out and eat. Great meal ideas for young to old. My daughter when she comes to visit from the US has to visit a St. Hubert to get her BBQ sauce fix, as the chain is not in the states. A must try. Out of town ers must try POUTINE!
Busy establishment, and very popular for take-out. We decided to eat in, and food was consistent to what we expected. Good chicken, great onion soup,...not too sure on the side garden salad, as it seemed to have an odd -italiian vinagrette dressing, was not our favourite. Otherwise, very enjoyable and especially, great service. Felix etait superb, et extremement professionel. Tres exceptionel. Merci bien.Would return happily. Réservez une table maintenant
We usually eat in the bar. Max, the bartender is attentive, efficient and friendly. The food is great. I particularly like the club sandwich, which is always full of large fresh chunks of white meat. The sundae with "sucre à la creme" is great way to finish off the meal. Alexander Keith's blond ale is always fresh and always cold. A favourite place to go, not just for the food but for the great people who work there.
Service sucks! Food is good but a little over priced ! Get some waiter/waitresses that care about there job and your store! When your always getting up from your table to look for waitress for something they forgot to bring or forget to ask us if we wanted a soup with are lunch menu when it comes with it..Is a little annoying!
Our take out order was so messed up that it makes you wonder about the operation. I thought we ordered very clearly, but when we got home with our meal for 7 people, sauce was missing, the mashed potatoes were French fries, the chicken was dry, etc. Too many mistakes for one order
