last Sunday, there was a family dinner with the city related and a surprise proposal! the atmosphere was beautiful, we talked well (for the proposal, must be out! but there were other customers in more casual wear. the staff was wonderful, everywhere, jose was our server and he was spectacular! the kitchen staff was also, based on how fantastic the whole food was. not a single complaint from our table, ordered with various ordered. drinks were well made, my wife did not order a drink on the normal drink card, and the bartender knew about it and served a large (so I am told! . what a beautiful, cozy, tasty gem! roux was simply amazing. making online reservations was easy, we were greeted joyfully by the host and our group of 4 was in a cozy corner window seat. the benches, decorated with cuddly kisses, were cozy and comfortable! Our waitress was attentive and friendly! the drinks are artistic and delicious! Our waitress recommended the frenchie and the moonpie beside our mimosas! Both were well balanced and amazing! we ordered the fries with aoli, breakfast sandwiches, the waffle sandwiches, smashed kartoffels and the shashouka baked egg with a side toast! eating was phenomenal and quickly came out! we couldn't stop eating the fries! can't wait to stop dinner agai...
I just went for the first time last Friday and I can say I did not leave disappointed. I ordered the escargot, lobster roll and soften the blow (drink) and everything was amazing! I personally wished I’ve chosen another drink because it was my first time trying anything with absinthe (sweet medicine type taste) but it did the job. My friend ordered the mussels, swordfish and a rosé. She said the rosé was extremely acidic which is why she didn’t finish her glass but that was her only complaint. Other than our drink choices everything else was (like I said earlier) amazing! Lovely atmosphere, savory foods, and great customer service. I will definitely be back.
Roux’s food, cocktails, and ambience are unbeatable. If you see pork belly with roti, lemongrass aioli, and kimchi on the menu, do not think, GET IT. Other dishes I’ve tried and loved include: the chicken cutlet, the Roux burger (with perfectly crispy shoestring fries), and the golden beet salad. Drinks are always fantastic—tell any of the bartenders what kind of spirits/flavor profile you like and they will make you something unique and delicious. Réservez une table maintenant
I had just gotten a new suit and my significant other had a new dress so we wanted to eat somewhere high-class and Roux did not disappoint. I was very satisfied with the drink(Lafayette’s sidecar) and the food. And my server was a wonderful character. Altogether it costed 104. I had no issues with it.
My wife and I celebrated our 22nd Anniversary here. From Chicago, we were in town moving our daughter in to UR for her sophomore year. Food, service, drinks, ambience, vibe, temperature, noise level, lighting, everything was excellent! Perfect! Could not ask for a better evening. Highly recommend!
