When I first went to Royal Garden i didnt like it but recently went a few times because it was a convenient location and gotta say the changes they have made are amazing.The Manchurian chicken is amazing to get so good. Also the Pepper beef is pretty good.Royal Garden gives you huge portions and makes the food to your spice level, they also have family specials and also specials for 1 which includes soup, rice, chicken wings or springrolls, and a hefty portion of your choice meat/veg fromt the lunch special list.The interior needs some work but overall amazing food, I recommend trying it especially if you love Hakka Chinese food!
Had garlic fish, chili chiken and a beef item.... And all items tastes exactly the same... Same gravy base on every main dish! Also, went for a pickup order the other day. They told me the food will be ready in 20 minutes... So after I went as adviced, I still had to wait an aditional 35 minutes. While waiting, i reminded them twice of my order and they simply replied "in a few minutes". The food was deveilerd after nearly a hour, without any apology or explaination!! I guess they're lucky there is no competition in Milton yet! Any other city in the GTA... they would be out of bussiness, for sure.
We ordered take out for a family of 20. We walked in an ordered a lot of food and they were busy. They were honest about the wait time and had us about in less than 20 minutes. We ordered quite a few things on the menu and everything was delicious, from the various fried rices, to soups and other dishes. The spicy soup was the best. Milton is a small town and if your ever in the mood for Chinese, this place is worth a try.
We went expecting some good Chinese food. It was not-it is a combo of several but nothing good. We asked for hot sauce and they did not have any-asked for tea-did not have any. Food was soupy and not really good. If you want real Chinese food-Do not go here.Portions were large and place was busy with take out.Sorry never again Réservez une table maintenant
Small & cozy, Hakka Chinese restaurant. Great food, good prices, but it is a long drive from Toronto. We visited on a Wednesday afternoon in early July and the restaurant wasn't busy. Soup serving size was very good. I hope they keep the soup size as we were able to take some home and enjoy later.
I only come to this restaurant for take out orders, which you can place in advance. There is a lot to choice from on the menu, but I would advise you tell them if you want a dish spicy or not.The Family of Four special is what we order and will feed more than 4 people.
