Our first visit; no, actually I was in The Royal Oaks once before 55 years ago as a teen. Anyways... from the outside it's rundown, tired, and kind of scarey. On the inside it's also rundown, tired, and charming. Nothing has been updated or remodeled. It's got character like 1955 all over again but with 70 years of patina. The waitress/barmaid (Heather) was a sweetheart. Big smile, welcoming, friendly. Welcomed us, made suggestions, checked on us repeatedly and brought more ice cold beer without being asked a woman after my heart. The food was outstanding. Better bbq ribs (w/raspberry sauce) than I make at home; meaty, moist, delicious. The Buffalo wings were perfect, crispy and seasoned per...
