Royal Station Tapas

Very close to Carnforth station, but the room was tiny, well stocked with tea, coffee and milk though. There was a little fridge in the room which was very handy. The room smelled strongly of dog and the window was screwed shut, very unpleasant especially as it was warm. There was no wardrobe and no drawers, just a rack with hooks and coat hangers on, it was all very cramped and unpleasant. For £95, excluding breakfast, was way overpriced. Just to add I booked directly with the hotel in April for my stay in September, so no booking agent was involved and booking that far in advance I would expect the best room in the hotel not the smelly dog room. Rooms: Tiny and nowhere to put anything. Noteworthy details: No wardrobe or drawers, smelled strongly of dog. Rooms: 3 Service: 3 Location: 5

Really nice helpful staff, clean rooms and a great breakfast. I ate at the associated pub and the food is really good, the steamed steak suet pudding with mash is a real crowd pleaser. Will be staying here again. Thank you for my stay. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

Very good stay here for 3 nights. Staff welcoming and friendly. Had the Sunday roast, superb. Very close to Carnforth station so ideal . Would stay again. Thank you for everything. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Quiet, Great value

Would give it 6 if it were possible. Friendly hospitable pub with great beers, superb staff and astoundingly good food. Take a detour, for lunch or dinner. Well worth it Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great value
