I've been a regular at this Rubio's for more than half my life, dating back to when they had an aquarium! Over the years, there have been some changes, especially due to COVID, so I figured it was time to share a review. One thing that has remained constant is the quality of both the service and the food, which I truly appreciate. My current favorite is the shrimp burrito with the spicy-citrus green sauce (not the salsa verde). It’s one of my top Baja-style restaurants, and the prices have remained reasonable. I’m giving it a solid 5-star rating for its consistency.
I absolutely love Rubio's and will keep returning. However, this location has had some inconsistencies with the ingredients. I ordered langostino tacos and found there were only about four little nuggets in them. When I visited this same place last year and ordered the same dish, each taco had at least ten nuggets. That said, where else can you find langostino tacos? Plus, the delicious street corn shrimp tacos and all the other fantastic options they offer make it worth it!
The churro I had tasted like it had been fried in the same oil as the fish, so all I could taste was fish instead of the delicious churro I was expecting. Thankfully, I've had churros before and know they can be delicious. I'll definitely give them another chance, hoping they won't use the same oil as for the fish next time.
Wow, it doesn’t get much better than Rubio’s! Unfortunately, the location in Thousand Oaks closed down a while back, so now I have to make the drive to Santa Clarita. I highly recommend the Salmon Burrito—make sure to get it blackened! It’s one of the tastiest lunches you can find in the area, in my opinion.

I spent $5.31 for just 7 chips and 3 tablespoons of guacamole. The "keto tortilla" was burnt. I'm very disappointed and won't be ordering from them again.
Im sure this shrimp burrito is fire but I ordered the Wild-Caught Mahi Mahi Burrito because I cannot eat shrimp. 5 stars because I know it always slaps.
Enjoyed the discounted Taco Tuesday fish taco special. Fish portions were very good sized and the tacos were very hot and tasty
My favorites are the beer-battered fish tacos, the rice, and the delicious street corn.
