My favorite neighborhood restaurant! Rue never disappoints. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. Your experience starts as soon as you hit the door. Chef always brings new experiences daily. I highly recommend the Rue experience with wine pairing. This week we ordered from the menu and it was absolutely delicious. We started with a Mayport shrimp and the seared octopus for appetizers. For our main we went with the duck confit and the New York strip. Both prepared and plated perfectly splendid. For dessert we had the honey cake. Lord it was fantastic. If you haven’t dined at Rue Saint Marc what are you waiting for?
My 1st experience was very nice. They didn't give me any push back when asking to be seated although my group hadnt arrived yet. I hate when a restaurant does that so the fact is was a non issue was a plus. The halibut dish I tried was amazing. When i got that perfect forkful with the fish and veggies all together...just wow. Although I love dessert nothing stood out on the dessert menu for me. That was the only real negative I had about the place. I will definitely go back once the next season's menu is out.
It was an experience. We did the Rue Experience and it was a nervous affair. Sitting down for a meal without knowing what to expect was scary. We let our waitress know that the Mrs was allergic to ginger and didn't do Anything spicy. And I don't do seafood. With that we started our experience and it was absolutely delicious. Only one of the 5 dishes I didn't care for, but outside of that everything was a winner and the Mrs enjoyed her meal. If in the area you should definitely try it.
Absolutely spectacular time at Rue Saint Marc. Booked a quick mother daughter‘s Galentine’s dinner… And they did not disappoint! Johnny our waiter was absolutely outstanding. Had us laughing the whole evening! The quirky cocktails, chic ambience, and of course impeccable food. I would be happy to book this again knowing the experience would be different but equally amazing.
