Rumbles Fish - Réserver une table

I placed an online order for pickup at this restaurant. Upon arrival, I was faced with a long line outside and no clear direction on where to collect my order. Inside, there were approximately 10 people waiting, none of whom were wearing masks. The staff had trouble locating my order and initially claimed I may have ordered from a different restaurant. After showing my phone, they eventually found my order. It seems they are struggling to efficiently handle both online orders and walk-in customers. The staff member I interacted with was very rude and the overall organization of the restaurant was lacking. I will never return to this restaurant after trying it multiple times. The staff were unwelcoming and showed a lack of hygiene, with one employee handling food without washing their hands. There seems to be a lack of effective leadership and the staff appear disinterested. The parking situation is also problematic, as customers block the pavement in front of the restaurant despite ample parking space. The food quality was mediocre and I would not recommend eating there due to the poor hygiene standards. It is disappointing to see that the issues raised to East Herts Planning have all come to fruition.

This place is an utter joke. Supposedly shuts at 10, but any time after 9 they’re cleaning up, and all they have is leftovers. No fresh chips/fish/kebabs, maybe a couple of saveloys that’ve been sitting in a heated counter for god knows how long if you’re lucky. Shame cos when they opened they were great. Rude and ignorant staff. They should just close earlier.

The fish and chips, as well as the pie and chips, at this restaurant were delicious. The dishes were well-cooked and the service was also good. We enjoyed our meal at a clean table while observing proper social distancing measures.

Always get our takeaway fish and chips from here. Lovely pickled onions as well. Good potion sIzes and friendly faces.
