Husband I stopped in tonight to have dinner. He ordered the chicken parmigiana I ordered the drunken pork chop with veg drinks. The mashed potatoes, zucchini, carrots sauce was great! The star of the plate, the pork chop, was a huge let down. The fat wasn't rendered the chop was as tough chewy as old leather boots! We've been here before thought we'd try something different other than Chicken Snitty with gravy or a Parmy. It just gets a bit boring having that or fish chips. He ended up sharing his parmy with me until we got something else to eat on the way home. This, was not an enjoyable meal we won't be back. I visited this restaurant on Boxing Day, and it was quite peaceful, which allowed the staff to be very friendly and attentive. The portions were hearty, and the prices were fairly typical for pub meals, sitting in the high $20 range. We ordered the lamb shank and the seafood marinara linguine. The atmosphere was relaxed and casual, making it suitable for people of all ages. Additionally, the gaming area and main bar are separated from the bistro, creating a family-friendly environment in the dining area.
I absolutely loved it! The food was fantastic, and the service was quick. I would definitely give it a 10/10 and would happily go back. The restaurant's decor was lovely, and it has really improved since my last visit.
We really enjoy the Runaway Bay Tavern! The portion sizes are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the staff are wonderful. It's always our top choice when we can't make up our minds on where to eat.
