We've been here a few times since it opened with groups of 4-12 people and had great experiences, so booking as a couple for our anniversary seemed like a good idea. We arrived around 7:30 pm and waited for about 5 mins near the bar for a waitress to saunter over and check our name off the list. I did mark the reason for the visit when booking as Anniversary, not expecting anything special but a mention would have been nice, the waitress however just crossed our name off the list and told us to sit where ever we liked. How disappointing. After recommending this to a number of friends after my first visit, we decided to make a night of it when they had a band playing (Captain Spaulding). We ate somewhere else prior, so this review is based on how they service a function only. They had a great turn out, and I know the majority of tickets were pre-purchased, so they should have been able to plan and staff for it accordingly. Unfortunately they didn't. From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left after midnight, we had to join a very long line every time we wanted to get a drink. A great lunch visit for our group of 40 from our Probus club. Had some misgivings about how they would handle such a large group (a la carte). No need to have worried as we arranged with management to restrict the menu to a la carte lunchtime menu. Worked a treat as there was seamless service and the waiting staff couldn't have been more helpful. Drinks ordered and paid for at the bar saved sorting out the "table" bill at the end as the set price two or three course order was a standard price. Excellent idea for a group. Food was excellent as was the service. Thank you to Tony and chef John for a good job well done. The group asked me before we left when we're we coming again.
We were given a gift voucher for Christmas and decided to use it tonight .Omg this place is amazing ,from the time we walked in we were looked after so well .Our waitress was so lovely and also was the male waiter we had .I think he was the owner and was just as great .The entee I had was beautiful and so was my husbands .We both had the pork belly yummo and we ordered two sides which were so tasty .I could not say a bad word about anything here .Will be coming back again for sure .The meal sizes r so big did not go home hungry like I have at other places .Thank you again Russo estate coming back very soon Réservez une table maintenant
Went to lunch for a friends birthday. It was a group of about 30 people and not one of us were impressed. The meals were below average. The chicken confit was dry and the potatoes were cold/still frozen. Not all the meals were served at the same time. Myself and 2 others had to wait for our meal to be served and everyone else had finished their meal by the time our meal came. We were all very disappointed in not just the quality of the food but the service as well. Will not be recommending it or returning.
Worst service ever. Ran out of steak no seafood as the menu suggests. Beautiful place badly mamaged .slack staff. Word of mouth is the best advertising the drunk waiter said....guess what word of mouth can hurt your business won't be back and will spread the word.over priced and food was cold and bad he said to complain to the guy behind the bar.dont bother.mcdonalds can do better.....
Went to Russo Winery for dinner with my sisters family back in June. We had a lovely dinner, although very noisy as there was a function in the room next door. Our food was really lovely as was the wine and service, it is a very open restaurant with only glass doors separating the function room, I would go again but would ask if a function was booked to avoid it.
We were recommended to this place and boy were we disappointed. The food was very ordinary. Twice cooked pork with a rubber sole crackle. Should not have even been sent out. The service was amateurish at best. This is a great looking place and hopefully they will sort out things and get a winning formula. I will watch and listen to see if they improve. My food was lovely but it wasnt the case for all at my table. Some food was still cold and one even frozen in the middle. I believe they had their usual chef away sick and this contributed. I have been reluctant to revisit due to the issues with food. Staff were wonderful. Wine was lovely.
