She came to hear from locals for an early dinner according to some recommendations. Armed as soon as she opened at 4:00 and was the second party so was sitting immediately. Was located in the beautiful dining area on the upper floor with views of the bar area below. Raven was our server and she did a great job. She was very friendly, helpful and prompt in her service. Started with a few drinks and appetizers. The appetizers were half the order of Drunken Clams Sausage and the Tempura Green Beans. Both came within 10 minutes and tasted super. I prefer the Clams Sausage as it serves a beautiful blend of shells, sausage, potatoes and chili flakes in a white wine cream sauce. Back, order extra bread to dip into the sauce. Halibut Special and Alaskan Sockeye Salmon ordered for meals. They arrived about 15 minutes later, which gave enough time to enjoy the appetizers. Both were nice, thick cuts of fresh fish. I prefer the Halibut a little, but I would also be happy as my main court. The salmon was served over Risotto while the Halibut was served over the cousin. For dessert, the Gelato had flight and Pistachio Chiffon. You were both equally good, depending on what you were in the mood. Neither was excessively sweet overall, very nice ambience, great food and service. Would definitely recommend coming to the Rustic Goat if you are in Anchorage.
The ambience is beautiful. Definitely has a laid back professional hipster chic vibe. The staff was kindly answered our questions about portion sizes (Thanks Raven! If you are not sure whether you get half or full of epic tasty nachos, you get half. Between 3 people it was a lot! The deep fried flower flowers bites are amazing; definitely worth getting back. Your Americano was smooth, good enough to make the trip itself. Her lemonade was sweet, very suitable for the late afternoon. The fatuccine is definitely worth ordering a second time; the sauce was savory, the noodles taste homemade. The salmon in the square was well portioned. I found a hair in my Stroganoff replaced her immediately. Not only that, they composed the nachos! After the duck, our desert was a great end to the experience. The vegan chaipie was decent, the S?More was fine. My favorite dish was the gelato of the day; Vanilla bean. I felt like a child visiting my grandparents and watching an evening tower next to a stone wall fireplace. Of course I am looking forward to my next visit!
How about the Bisonburgers? Yummy with the onion jam added a fantastic taste for brunch. They were delicious and sweet. The steak breakfast was okay, I felt it was missing taste, but good enough. The ambience and furnishings were great and the service was smooth. I'm back to try more articles.
