Ruth's Chris Steak House

My partner and I were excited to celebrate our anniversary at Ruth Chris. It was both of our first times. We were seated right away and the staff had great service all around. Unfortunately it took over and hour and a half to get our food. We ordered two steaks and two sides. Our server told us the first time that our food was 2 tickets away. 20 minutes later she said the same thing. Another 20 minutes passed and it was still not here. Our server did apologize and offer us a free dessert which was sweet. Once our food arrived, the staff who was placing our dishes didn't know which steak was what and asked us “do you know which one is yours?” I understand it could be new to her as well but I...

Yavanna went over and beyond what we expected! As we told yavanna. With all the new steak houses popping up in the bay area. Ruth chris of walnut creek is still thee best in the bay area. Once we come back for our wedding anniversary, we will ask for yavanna and only yavanna!

2 people at the table ordered the same steak. 1 medium rare, and 1 medium. The orders were switched somehow. I sent mine back as medium rare is unacceptable to me. But the other dinner ate his more cooked than he preferred.

An old school steakhouse, so the sides are creamed spinach and garlic mash etc. The steak is very good, prime cuts cooked to perfection and served hot. It's not cheap, but if you love good steak it's worth it.
