Ruth's Chris Steak House Ponte Vedra Beach

Ruth's Chris is overly rated. After previous experience with a not so good meal at a different Ruth's Chris, we decided to give it the benefit of doubt – another try. Well, it reconfirmed our opinion – not very good food, overpriced, will not go back again. Appetizer Veal Osso Buco Ravioli The dish was overly salted so you couldn’t taste the delicate Osso Buco except salty sauce. To make things worse, the server came, placed the dish, then throw the spoon onto the table instead of laying the spoon down gently. Caesar Salad it was ok, nothing to write home about. Sides Roasted garlic mashed potato was swimming in butter or some sort of liquid. Creamed Spinach had no cream nor spinach taste. Cornfed Steaks Personally I prefer grassfinished beef. It's more more nutrientrich meat. Our Petite Filet and NY Strip are also heavily seasoned salted. It kills the natural steak flavor. Seasoning is good but overdo it kills everything. The plate used to serve the steaks sounds cool but it over cooks the meat. Before half way through, my rare filet was medium rare turning into medium. That's was the problem with my steak last time

I’m sorry. I love ruth Chris. But tonight the side dishes were aweful Brussels sprouts way over cooked. Potatoes were hard and half the portions that you usually get. And prices higher My steak was good the service was good

all the way upon arrival was great, escorted to our table quickly the service and food was as always perfect
