Coming out of season, many places are closed. There isn't a lot of choice. This place was open and doing great business. It's quite large inside and outside and it was pretty busy. Not many free tables. As far as I could tell there were a lot of locals here too generally a good sign. The other TA revises are very mixed generally I would ignore a few bad reviews but the overall pattern tells a story. There are lots of bad reviews maybe some people have had bad experiences for us it was perfectly ok. The location of course is great. Food was awful and completely overpriced for the standard served. Nothing was cooked fresh, paella (we had one of each as was group of 7) was a disgrace and the canaloni was inedible. If the kitchen can't cook they should shut up shop as all they are doing is ripping off tourists. Left 150 euros lighter and wishing we had gone somewhere else.
Tossa de Mar is full of great restaurants, unfortunately this isn't one of them! Nothing we ordered could be described as tasty....at best it was bearable and the steak in green pepper sauce was inedible. I actually felt sorry for the waiters who seem to be aware of the problems in the kitchen.
Having limited time and not knowing anything about the area we were heading back to Barcelona from a day trip to Girona we decided to stop at this restaurant as we could sit out on the terrace. Food/wine was good not great but good. It was a nice experience. Enjoyed the view.
