Not only was Sabatino’s one of the first places my husband took me on a date back in 1998, but Peter Sabatino was my very 1st listing appointment back in 2016. It holds a very special place in my heart Sabatinos Restaurant Sausage Company is a classic Italian restaurant with a warm and inviting atmosphere, serving authentic Italian dishes. Sabatino’s is a must-visit for anyone looking for authentic Italian cuisine in Newport Beach,
Sabintinos is great homemade food. There are two standout Italian places on the peninsula that are both great. Gina's and Sabintinos, Sabintinos sausage is amazing and I would consider them more traditional as opposed to Gina's where they have a more modern variety of dishes mixed in with Italian staples. I eat at Sabintinos a couple times a month and they never disappoint. One of the places I love.
I learned today that Peter Sabatino had a stroke, and control of Sabatinos changed. I loved visiting Sabatino's and getting that breakfast gravy, which they no longer serve, and the only thing on the menu is sausage sizzling. Peter is a landmark in Newport Beach, he needs to be honored. Please email Sabatinos or leave comments to bring back the menu Peter created, that everyone loved.
A great place for dinner! The signature sizzling sausage platter is a must-try. The corkage fee is a bit high at $23, but at least you have that option. The outdoor dining area is really nice—I prefer it over the indoor seating. However, there tend to be a lot of large groups, so the service can be slow at times. Réservez une table maintenant
Great atmosphere and India our server was great. Food was average Italian food. We had a sausage, pepper, and risotto appetizer that was delicious. Our entrees were ok and I felt a bit overpriced. But if down by the beach craving Italian it’s worth checking out.
The service was somewhat slow, but it wasn't too problematic. The food was decent, though it didn't quite measure up to other local restaurants. I found it to be quite pricey considering the quality and portion size.
I can’t say enough good things about this place. On top of the great Italian food you can’t go wrong with the sausage or pizza. Been coming here for 25 years. The quality remains great as always.
