Safeway Burquitlam

I purchased some discounted hand-peeled shrimp since the expiration date was today. When I got home, the smell was extremely strong. Despite my better judgment, I took a small bite—big mistake! It was disgusting. I called the restaurant to let them know, and their only response was, "Thanks for the feedback; shrimp can smell." They didn’t offer a refund at all. I found their response quite disappointing, especially considering the potential risk of food poisoning!

I frequently buy flowers from Burquitlam on my way home because the quality is exceptional and the service has always been top-notch. However, today I was extremely disappointed by a service experience that was the complete opposite of what I'm accustomed to. I would like to share more details about what happened, but I've found it difficult to articulate everything, and this is already my fourth attempt to post.

I would like to give a 5-star rating to Wendy from the bakery department for her exceptional customer service. She was incredibly helpful in assisting me with selecting the perfect cake and went above and beyond to make it look special for my friend's birthday. Wendy is a wonderful asset to Safeway! As for the cake, it was delicious. I highly recommend it!

This is the worst supermarket I have ever been to! I can't believe that a supermarket would run out of Coke on a Monday. It's incredible how unprepared this store is to serve the local community. They frequently have multiple items out of stock, even though their prices are on the higher side. I'm extremely disappointed!!! Réservez une table maintenant

I don't quite understand why they clean and package the corn in the flower shop area. It seems to detract from the beauty of the floral space. That said, you can still find a fantastic variety of fresh and stunning flowers there.

Who would have thought to enjoy lunch on the patio at Safeway? This location boasts a Starbucks and a deli counter, along with a spacious outdoor patio on the second floor on the south side—ideal for relaxing.

I had a really unpleasant experience with a cashier who was very reluctant to bag my groceries and even threatened to break some items. Although the prices are high, the service was quite poor. Réservez une table maintenant

This grocery store offers an excellent selection of nearly everything you could possibly need. It is clean and the staff is very helpful.
