Martin We came to your restaurant last night for a mid week treat but although my wife enjoyed hers , I am afraid my meal was mediocre . A bad choice obviously by me , but there really shouldn’t be anything on your menu that is a bad choice. The Pad Thai Goong that I had contained overcooked slimy noodles just my opinion I know and the menu said ‘includes vegetables’. I got broccoli and one slice of red pepper plus one slice of green pepper ; at least that’s what it appeared to be. I suppose therefore that the menu didn’t lie inasmuch as the above are vegetables ..... broccoli is not a personal favourite but I eat it provided it is not the main vegetable feature. In this case it was. I know...
Was here for a meal last night Friday for our second time. It was good but not as good as on our first visit... The NasiGoreng was unassailably good , but things like the butter selection were not available a feature of the restaurant . The smoked salmon presentation was theatrical and tasty, but the quantity supplied was significantly less than what was offered before. I got the impression overall that things are a bit tougher for Martin owner chef . We will obviously return but with a more open mind regarding expectations. Restaurants need to offer consistency in their menu in quality and quantity. Shaving quantity because a miscalculation may have been made is a dangerous path to follow i...
We had lunch with 2 other couples at this restaurant which was featuring a special degustation menu of Indonesian dishes. Having lived in Indonesia, I have to agree that the food was authentic and brought back fond memories of my living in this beautiful country. The service was professional and efficient. The Dutch Chef keeps enticing customers by featuring various ethnic food on a weekly basis in addition to the à la Carte menu. Next will be Mexican food and we will be back!
I had a delicious meal of tapas at Safflor last night. I ordered 5 tapas which included chicken in a peanut sauce, mini hamburgers stopped with a spicy sauce, pork ribs (ordered two they were so good), and spring rolls with a bowl of fried rice. With wine and a gin and tonic! Everything was great. The owner/chef came out and talked to us for a bit. Very nice and accommodating. Réservez une table maintenant
Fantastic food at a small, inconspicuous restaurant right in the centre of town. Busy on a Friday night so we had to wait for the food, but it was worth every moment. Food is freshly prepared, well-flavoured and cheap at under 10€ for a main. There are meat options on the menu so I can't give it 5 stars, which is a shame.
The service was very good, and the food was very tasty and with a nice presentation (the chef also came out to ask how was the food, which is always a nice touch and shows passion). A different cuisine, with a Dutch and Indonesian touch. I will be back for sure!
Visited Safflor for lunch after having a Christmas meal that was delicious. We both had the barbecue ribs with roasted potatoes, and we were not disappointed. The meal was fantastic! I highly recommend Safflor for any meal. Go early as it is often quite busy.
I had gone lunch and the were doing Vietnamese food this week. It was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately I didn’t take any photos as enjoying the food too much. The owners were so attentive. I would definitely go back. Reasonable priced. Réservez une table maintenant
