Sadly and it pains me to give any business owner a bad review, but this place is a joke. Furthermore, school boy error that I didn’t trip advise this place before ordering? Usually we go to two other restaurants but we couldn’t be bothered driving, so we gave this place a shot. Firstly the take away meal arrived and I had to drive back to the restaurant to query why so little sauce and tiny portion size given the £40 cost (just for takeaway mains) Returned home, tasted the food and I could not decipher what I was meant to be eating? The meal overall was fantastic. The restaurant had a comfortable and charming decor, and the staff were friendly and pleasant. I would highly recommend this place. The food was delicious and didn't leave you feeling too full like some Indian meals can. The Papadoms were crispy and not greasy, and came with a tasty selection of lime pickle and chutney. The menu indicated the spiciness level of each dish with chillies, making it easy to choose. I opted for a Bengal chicken dish with 3 chillies, paired with Pelau rice. As we live within walking distance of here we used to go very often and often had a chin wag with Brenda and Ernie, no idea why we stopped we even took our friends from Wales to celebrate their silver wedding and our daughters 21st. Brenda went out and got her a cake too. Not been for a couple of years and it'll be a few years before we go again. Cant say anything was nice except mango chutney etc and the salad. The onion bhajis, imo were not nice although hubby thought they were nice and i had to soak grease up with kitchen roll. Lamb tikka was tough. After placing a £40 takeaway order the food should of arrived within the hour. After two hours we called and enquired as to where our order was. After a further hour we called again and asked for a refund to which we are told would be processed straight away. Two weeks later and after a couple of emails and also trying to call the restaurant (ringing out) we are still yet to receive refund. To sum it up I will never eat in or takeaway from here again. You shouldn’t have to chase your own money back like this and they still have near £40 of my money. Shocking service!!!
Our last visit to this restaurant was disappointing during the "Eat Out to Help Out" promotion, but we gave it the benefit of the doubt. However, on our most recent visit, the food was lacking in quantity, cold, and when we raised our concerns, the waiter was argumentative and simply microwaved the food. When we requested to speak with the owner, they were conveniently unavailable. We recommend avoiding this establishment.
This is honestly one of the worst takeout meals I have ever had. The mixed starter was bland but edible. The main dishes were terrible. The chicken was very tough and the sauces were flavorless. Even the naan bread was inedible. I wasted over 20 pounds on this disappointing meal.
