Booked through Trip Advisor. Had to stand for around 10 minutes before my presence was acknowledged (other than being asked to move out of the way twice!). When I was greeted properly, I said that I had a reservation. I was asked if I had reserved by phone. I said no - 'using the internet - la fourchette' at which point I was told I had to sit inside. One of only two tables doing so. There were empty, apparently unreserved, tables outside.Took ages for my order to be taken. I ordered two beers from the three on the menu during my meal. Safran had neither and brought another, opened, instead. No great problem. 9 francs seems pricey even for Montreux. Food was good. Duck liver starter was ok if a tad bland. Beef with fried lettuce and (slightly overly salty) watercress pesto good and rare as requested. Cheese plate was just that - a plate with cheese. One tool and some tired lettuce. Lots of thumb-twiddling between courses. No-one checking that food was OK. Lack of customers inside = lack of waiters inside = rubbish attentiveness. My waiter was perfectly nice when he was around, though - more an issue with the system. Three courses and two beers for 100 francs exactly.OK but no better.
