We had not planned to eat in Montlucon and selected this restaurant based on the recommendations from the guide Michelin. The five of us arrived to the restaurant for lunch a little bit late but the staff was very accommodating. And we are so glad...we were able to eat there. The experience was extremely positive for all of us: outdoor seating in a very quiet medieval street, high quality food, great presentation, friendly and prompt service. All of this for a great value, at a very reasonable price prix fixe menu). This was a memorable lunch (along with a nice walk in the old city) and we will definitely make a point to come back when/if we return to this region.
Looking for a restaurant that was open Sunday lunchtime and stumbled across This restaurant. Went for the set menu which was around Per ahead and so glad I did. Others in our party went for the menu as it included wine and champagne....The staff were helpful and aided our choice with a translation from French to English. Well organised restaurant and the quality of food certainly didn't disappoint. Fillet of beef for the mains. If your looking for a restaurant with excellent food and service you won't go wrong with this.
From beginning to end I felt that the restaurant made a tremendous effort on all levels. I took five friends with me as I had been meaning to try for some time. My expectations were more than exceeded. The dishes were very imaginative and well...presented. Value for price excellent and the service beyond reproach. I strongly recommend.
