Let me preface this by saying rare 650 used to be one of my favorite steakhouses. Today I decided to take my mom out for Mother’s Day and the experience was nothing short of lack luster.First off with the drinks: I ordered a strawberry lemon drop they brought out a cosmo and apologized and said they would remake it. Mind you our table was across from the bar (I had direct view into the bartenders making of my drink) they simply added a sugar rim and served me the same drink ? This isn't my first dining experience at Rare650. Unfortunately my last two times I experienced a longer than average wait time. It was a lot of un attended waiting. The food was overall ok, I had there prefixed menu and the overall value was great, but the food just fell a little flat. I'd do want to say the crispy rice sushi roll (I can't remember the name) was great. I had the veal bone it with the sweet potato gratin, which I found very tasty. The cream spinach and lobster bisque were. Little disappointing. Overall I wished there was a little more flavor and attention to a table of 6 two of which were children ages 4 and 2.
We had a lovely experience at the bar enjoying cocktails. The dining room staff were courteous and professional, and the food was quite tasty. However, we did have an unfortunate situation with a table of three young children seated right next to us. While this is certainly not the restaurant's fault, it would have been better for them to be placed in a different area, away from other diners. One of the children was quite loud and disruptive, seeming more like he was at a Chuck E. Cheese birthday party throughout our visit.
Our servers, Marty and Jason, were excellent. Super attentive and a pleasure.to have help us. I will definitely ask for them the next time we go. Cliff the general manager also was very nice. He was overseeing everything that was going on. Checking on tables and thanking us for coming. The food was outstanding...prepared exactly how we asked for it. This wasn't our 1st time and definitely won't be our last time going to Rare 650!!!

The service was outstanding. I wish I remembered our two servers names. The steaks were great too. The only thing we didn't enjoy were the sides. They were mediocre at best, especially the mash with garlic confit. I would definitely come back again. Stay away from the windows that face the parking lot if you come on a cooler night. The draft along the windows made for a chilly dinner.
Another fantastic dinner at Rare 650. We went for the Filet Lobster dinner. Everything was just delicious, and they gave you enough food to walk out full. Fadji was our waitress, and she was just the best. I'll ask to sit in her section next time. It's my favorite restaurant by far.
The quality of food on the fixed-price menu offered midweek at $69 per person is definitely below expectations. The service, from the valet to the waitstaff, was just mediocre. I won’t be in a hurry to return, especially considering the high price.
I feel the marinated squirt steak tasted completely different when one person ordered it from the pre fixe menu I have been coming to Rare for over 15 years This particular time Spending over $700 I didn't feel Like the food quality was up to par.

Overall it was a wonderful meal. Their steak is always excellent!! However, for the prices they charge, the kitchen should do a better job then sending out hard avocado in a salad, or inedible blackberries in a fresh berry dessert.
