Sahar Take Away - Afghan Charcoal Kebab & Bakery

This is our favorite spot, there are a few along the Afghan Bazaar and extremely popular with all walks of life having a go.You can get spicy sauce or mint yoghurty one with fresh Afghan bread to dip.The size of food is enough and really tasty. I particularly like the rice that comes with the chicken... it has carrots and currants in it and although that may sound weird - it is delish! Staff are very friendly!

Coming from Sydney to visit I came across this wonderful restaurant today. The most wonderful service I ever had in Melbourne . Sooo warm friendly. Food was absolutely Delicious very quick especially when they were soooo busy. I kept requesting things and they didn’t mind. Very affordable very quality services. Thanks for a wonderful evening.

We took our family for lunch there on Sunday and we ordered whole chicken with rice and salad and sauce for $25 and 4 mix kebab with bread for $15. The food was really good, and lots of it. Everyone love the bread. The place is very clean and we got our food very quick. Definitely will come back!!!

Haven’t had alot here (chicken souvlaki, spatched chicken, flatbread), but enough to know this place is excellent. Will stop in for a mixed grill plate and chutneys sometime soon! Réservez une table maintenant

Extremely great value meals. Food is absolutely delish and very friendly service. We go often enough that i have a "Usual" meal and they have air con in summer. 11/10 ????
