Sahra by the River

We came here for dinner on a saturday night and was pleasant surprised by great food and service. The restaurant was pretty full with a function, but the food still came out really quickly. We got the assorted pastries to start - they were fantastic. We then shared four mains, the fish of the day, chicken w/ risotto, chicken skewers and lamb kofta skewers. Every dish was absolutely full of flavour and well portioned each coming with a decent serving of salad. We also tried the lebanese sweets plate, a bit small but tasted sensational, served with one of the smoothest and creamiest vanilla ice creams i've ever had at a restaurant. The homemade lemonades were very fresh and refreshing.The wait staff were very friendly and helpful and should be commended. Later on in the night there was also a dancer that came around to all the tables who encouraged people to dance and have a good time. A very different and lovely dining experience. Would come again.

While in Parramatta for business for just over one week, we visited this restaurant twice (although there are many dining options); the food was that good! A number of our party ordered the mixed grill, including lamb, chicken and other meat, and it was excellent. The service was also top-notch, and the waiters also had a good understanding of the origin of the various entries. I had various chicken dishes, again, excellent!

Good for lunch as service is quick and you can order and finish within an hour. Food a bit hit and miss. Have had the most melt in your mouth Meats and others that were indigestible. Best of all are the dips and bread. Reasonably priced. Service friendly

Have been here 3 or 4 times in the last eighteen months. The food is quite authentic middle Eastern food. Service is quite good as well. A very lively atmosphere this restaurant offers. Would recommend.

Amazing food and some of the best service I have ever had. Highly recommend this place and I will be returning.
