My husband and I were looking for early dinner fare, and pizza was just not the option today. This restaurant recently opened up, and since another Japanese restaurant closed south of the area, we thought we would give this a try and see what it was like. We were not disappointed. Both of us had the chicken teriyaki (with a generous scoop of sticky rice;) we also ordered the California rolls and the chicken tempura rolls. My husband also had the miso soup. It has been some time since my last visit to Sakada, a cozy Japanese restaurant located in a neighborhood plaza in Pickering. It appears to be family-owned and operated, with very friendly staff. I initially planned to order one of the lunch specials displayed in the window, but the All You Can Eat lunch option for $14.00 caught my eye, including a drink. I was just wandering around looking for food and stumbled upon this restaurant in a strip mall. The service was very friendly, with a sweet and beautiful lady greeting us at the reception. I observed that many teenagers were dining there and she was very kind to them, almost like a motherly figure. We ordered some set menus and found the prices to be very reasonable for Japanese food. The portions were generous and the food was delicious. We spent $40 on dinner for 3 (with enough for 4), which was much healthier than burgers and fries. We will definitely be making this restaurant a regular spot for our family.

We love sushi! This is our go to spot for a quick meal. This place always serves fresh and good sized sushi, sashimi, hand rolls etc. My kids also love the cooked teriyaki dishes. Hubby and I eat in or take out at least once per week. Food always fresh and excellent! Great prices! Very clean kitchen, restaurant and washrooms. Wheelchair accessible. Owners are very kind and polite. They do a good business. There are so many reasons that Sakada Sushi gets our loyalty!

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The rice in the sushi was too hard, and there was an excessive amount of rice in each piece. Despite this, I may consider returning to try other items on the menu after hearing positive feedback from others.

I live near the restaurant and usually call in my order and pick it up. You have delivery, but I prefer it when I'm in the Plaza. You have great offers for two dinners. We went to dinner some time and still brought food home. The staff is fast and efficient.
