our first time to have lunch there. very different experience compared to having dinner. they placed us at a table to accommodate a wheelchair guest (my 85 yr old aunt), but too tight, so we couldn 't get up from table if we wanted to. service non existent, you have to yell hello because we were in the Siberia section of the restaurant. turns out there is a button on the wall to call for service, but the server never even bothered to tell us. and not sure if it works anyway. server had an attitude until the Asian manager or another staff helped with our orders. this is my second time at the sushi bar… We had such a great experience the first time we came back a year later. It’s very close to Descanso Gardens. They have quite a few options for sushi rolls, and other sashimi combos. I ordered the red blossom roll, and it was amazing! The only reason I gave it four stars for service is because it can be a little slow at times.
It’s a nice pleasant place. We ended up closing the restaurant down. When they finally started putting up all the chairs, the only and not really negative, but the sizes of fish on the rolls were really small and the tuna roll had a small portion of tuna as compared to other sushi places I have been to. Other than that it was a very enjoyable experience.
Great new place to add to our list ! Fresh food , really well cooked and presented . Really nice staff too albeit one really scary female staff me r made me jump out of my seat lol lol JOKE ! It was awesome ! We have been looking for a really good new sushi place and I think we just found it !

We really enjoyed our sushi dinner. Sakana is a gem in our foothill community. Dinner was delicious. Sushi was fresh! and beautifully presented. Service was kind and attentive. Though we were there to enjoy dinner- was able to peek at TV for sports scores. Parking is easy
I was looking for a sushi bar near descanso gardens, and so happy I found this one here! the sushi was super fresh, and excellent quality! the parking lot was behind the restaurant. service was incredible!
We had a great birthday dinner for our son, and the staff was sweet enough to bring him a yummy dessert and sing.
The staff was extremely helpful, and the food was fresh and beautifully presented.
