Sakeba Bento Express

I was apprehensive at first, but I was pleasenty surprised. I tried one of the bento boxes with an absolutely fantastic thai curry sauce. I'd equate the meats and fried rice to hibachi, but not the low quality chain hibachi, just a genuinely delicious hibachi paired with a fantastic sauce. The thai curry sauce was flavored after a red thai curry that had decent heat behind it and in all honesty the curry tasted better than some of the curry some of the local thai places offer. I thought the prices (even with delivery) were decent and the portions to be satisfactory. The seasoning was very Japanese, and as a Japanese, I didn’t feel uncomfortable eating it. Also eating sushi elsewhere is inevitably inexpensive, but this sushi restaurant was inexpensive, which was also good. The interior design was very Japanese, and I was glad to see that they really like Japan. My son was quite excited to try seaweed for the first time in a while.

I ordered a bento box and takoyaki and it was not what I hoped for it to be : the beef was very dry and bland, and the vegetables were very watery, also lacking flavor. The takoyaki had very little octopus in it and had a very soft texture and unpleasant taste/aftertaste. The fried rice was alright. The entire bento box sort of reminded me of a school lunch

Would give this place 100 stars if I could! Food was so fresh and had a lot of flavor. The tuna in my poke bowl was a lot, they hooked it up. Crab rangoons were bomb, and the combo fried rice was amazing.

Great food. Great music. Fast service with a variety of food on the menu. Reasonably priced would def recommend
