Sakura has been here in Richmond for a long time, and we've been there many times over the years. The taste of the food honestly depends on the chef you get we've been there 3 times in the last couple of months, and 1 time was fantastic, 1 was OK, and the last time the food was not very good. Historically, the food was consistently delicious, which is why we've been willing to pay the 50$ plate. Had a Great experience here taking the family for the first time. Although I'VE Personally been to Quite A Few Hibachis where the Chef REALLY Goes ALL OUT for the Show.. Throwing Shrimp HELLA Fire, Joking and Laughing, etc.. They just Kept it Simple Here! Initial Lighting of the grill and One tiny Onion Stack on fire for a couple seconds lol... But My kids still Really enjoyed the show! Food was Actually EXCELLENT!! Everything seemed Fresh and Tasted Great! Customer service is absolutely terrible. My waitress was so pleasant and helpful with the sushi menu. I asked for well done steak, specified no pink inside and this is what was brought to my table. I respectfully asked the waitress to replace my order and this time bring well done steak. The manager only wanted to make the steak over while the rest of my food sits and get cold while waiting for the steak to cook. I am not giving this establishment my money ever again.
I went here for dinner for my birthday the waiter was very rude and we were rushed to place an order. The chef was really nice we did hibachi with several other couples. The food was very salty I was not impressed. I will not be going back. It looked really good but it wasn't to my liking.

Arrive 5-10 mins after opening, just to be told we needed a reservation for our party of 9 and 2 kids. Needless to say there were no other customers when we arrived. We call back and there wasn’t a straight answer as to why we were turn down. Very disappointed.
We had a great corporate event here. The place is well designed in order to accommodate large or small parties. I was very surprised by how much food we got. The chefs were fun and entertaining. A wide variety of foods and sushi. Lunch specials, too.
If you like Hibachi then you can't go wrong with Sakura. I'm always pleased with my meal when I go regardless of the location. I always get the chicken shrimp combo. The food was seasoned really good at the Henrico, Virginia location.
I enjoyed this restaurant. Great food. Kid-friendliness: Children are fascinated watching the chef prepare for at their table.

Food made me sick, chef was boring!!! Did not do anything special for our party of 8. Super disappointed. Overpriced.
This is my favorite restaurant to go with my son. We love their sushi!
