Having lived in Southeast Asia for four years, I have a deep love for Thai cuisine. My favorite Thai restaurant in the Bay Area is Sala Thai in Richmond. I absolutely adore their mango sticky rice and the combo appetizer—everything is excellent. My top choice is the Thai dumpling, which resembles an Asian vol-au-vent; it's delicious and beautifully presented. I’ve yet to find this dumpling in any other Thai restaurant I've tried in the Bay Area. I've visited this restaurant several times and have always been pleased with the service. Sala Thai is a solid spot for yummy food! The space is open yet cozy at the same time. We have been coming here for years, and keep coming back! The staff is super friendly, and was very accommodating to my requests for my pad see ew! Our go to's are pad see ew and yellow curry. Today we changed our pad see ew up a little and subbed onions and mushrooms in place of cabbage and broccoli. Was extra yummy this way! Yellow curry not pictured, as we got it togo to have with dinner. Their sala potstickers are delish (had those last time) and i want to get some roti next time. So if you are looking for yummy Thai food, come visit Sala Thai!
AMAZING SERVICE! Placed an order to go, there was a mix up on my curry it included salmon instead of shrimp. Called back and the owner offered me a new one right away. Always a pleasant experience and amazing food. The pot stickers are top three favorite foods of all time. Love this place.
We discovered this restaurant on a google search, while we were visiting friends in Richmond. We are so glad we did, food was excellent and Dave the owner was so gracious. We loved the chicken Satay and roasted duck and the wonton soup. We will be back when we visit Northern California.

Food was fresh, delicious and the staff was very friendly. The only downside, which is not the restaurant’s fault, is the parking situation—it’s damn near impossible to find a parking spot.

Really nice spot! Everything was super flavorable. Fast and friendly service. We really enjoyed the Tom Yum soup.
Excellent food and service. I am vegan and the waiter explained what ingredients will be used. He was awesome.
