Since Mary Gingerelli, who had the perfect sofrito recipe, unfortunately passed away, this place has become the next best option in town. They also serve one of the best square red pizzas around—I tried mine with half sausage. If you dine in, they provide complimentary hot pepper flakes, oregano, and garlic powder, in addition to the standard salt and pepper.
They have several beers on tap and a selection of basic wines available. There's a TV in the bar for patrons, too. My meal of red pizza with half sausage, a dinner with sofrito, and drinks totaled just $43 and some change, making it quite affordable for the average person.

We go to an old forge pizza place every time we are visiting in Wilkes-barre/Scranton. This restaurant is my boyfriend’s favorite. We finished the pizza in the photo between the two of us. I know old forge style pizza isn’t for everyone, but we love it!!
First timer I just wanted to try new and all travels a county away for pizza got a plain tray of red to try for take out and will like to dine in next time and try other things on
The waitress was great however my friend sent her food back twice and it still wasnt right. They did take it off the bill and offer to remake it but she decided not to

This was my first visit, and the pizza was a fantastic old-fashioned style served on a tray. The place itself is very simple, as always.
It's always a pleasure getting Salernos. Great prices. Especially wings my son loves anything you decide on will be top knotch!
First time there in years. It was great food was delicious and the waitress was superb so friendly and attentive.
Bartender was friendly she is pretty and great service we had pizza and drinks great job
